NAIDOC Week – Richard Huen

03 / 07 / 2022

This NAIDOC Week, we recognise the unique place of Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples in Australia and celebrate their history, culture and achievements.

Richard Huen, a Mitchell Services Senior Directional Driller in Moranbah North, shares his thoughts on what NAIDOC week means to him:

“It means recognising our culture in this country and keeping our culture strong for the future of our next generation.

I have two tribes – I have connections with my Dad’s tribe, the Kudjala people from the Charters Towers area, and my Mum’s tribe, the Waanyi people, from up near Doomadgee north west Queensland.”
