Mitchell Services’ Annual General Meeting was conducted this morning in Brisbane. Great to see a lot of our shareholders in attendance to hear Executive Chairman Nathan Mitchell and CEO Andrew Elf present. We’re proud of the results achieved in FY19 and look forward to continued success in FY20.

1992 – Gordonstone Mine, Queensland
One of Mitchell’s core values is to ‘continuously improve and find a better way’.
So in 1992, when Gordonstone Mine (now known as Kestrel Mine) in Central Queensland called, Peter Mitchell had to somehow come up with a plan to drill a 2.5m diameter vent shaft. With the help of his fitters, boilermakers and seasoned drilling team, the Mitchell crew manufactured the drill bit you see here.
The end result – one 2.5m vent shaft complete and a much cooler underground mine!
